Where trust becomes the evidence that changes systems.

NCSUN · The Round Table · November 2026

The Round Table starts online in January. On 11 November, we plan it together.

Wednesday 11 November, 1:30 to 3pm, online on Microsoft Teams.

If you were told Tuesday, The Orangery or Carrow House, this replaces it.

This is for anyone who holds a piece of how people get help across Norfolk and Suffolk. That includes living it, volunteering, running a group, working in a service or council, or being between roles right now. You don't need a job title to have a seat. If you can't make it, please pass this on to someone who should be there.

  • Drop in for the part that matters to you. Late is fine.
  • Reply by Monday 9 November and we'll email you the joining link.

Why online

Our first year was busier than we expected. The in-person Briefs and Gatherings were a taster of what NCSUN can bring into a room.

Going online means more people can join from wherever they are, and the recording means nobody misses out.

If you'd like a session like this run in person for your own team or service, just ask.

What's on

Rough timings.

  1. Welcome and the recording note
  2. Our first year: what we've done, what we've learned and where it has led
  3. Agenda items you've sent in
  4. Three ideas, equal time
  5. Ideas form: tell us where you'd like to be involved
  6. What happens next: building January's Round Table
  7. Close

Three ideas that started on the ground

Each of these came to us from people living it. We're not here to run them. We want to find who'd like to take each one forward and connect you with each other. On the 11th we'll say a little more about each, then ask where you'd like to be involved.

A

A Free Shop

No till and no prices: everything is donated and everything is free, for anyone who needs it. Could Norwich have one, and who would make it happen?

B

The Norwich commission proposal

People living with hardship sit as equals with the people who run and fund services, to work out what causes hardship here and what to do about it. Is it right for Norwich, and who would want to be part of it?

C

SEND families in hardship

Families of children with special educational needs and disabilities who are struggling already turn up at community groups, food cupboards and events. Should the groups they trust be part of how Norfolk's new SEND system reaches them, and how can we make that happen?

How joining works

  • On a computer, Teams opens in your browser with nothing to install. On a phone, you may need the free Teams app.
  • Join however suits you: camera on or off, your name or just your organisation, talking, typing in the chat, or simply listening.
  • Live captions are available in Teams.

Recording and your choices

  • The session is recorded and transcribed on Teams, with Genio taking a second transcript in case the Teams recording fails.
  • An edited recording goes up as a public download, no sooner than seven days after the session.
  • Rather not appear? Tell us on the form, by email or on the day and we'll edit you out. Your voice is muted, your face and name hidden, and your words taken out of the captions and transcript.
  • Anything said off the record stays off the record. The full recording stays inside NCSUN.
  • If something you said is shared, you choose how you're described: named with your organisation, organisation only, or not named.
  • To be anonymised (within 48 hours) or withdrawn entirely (within 7 days), contact Leanne, our Safeguarding and Operations Director, at connection@ncsun.org.

Your choices

NCSUN uses your reply only to organise this session and the January Round Table, and, if you ticked it, to tell you about future sittings. Replies are stored by our website host, Netlify, and seen only by NCSUN. To see, change or delete your reply, email charli@ncsun.org.

Thank you. We'll email you the joining link from charli@ncsun.org before Wednesday 11 November. If it hasn't arrived by Tuesday, email charli@ncsun.org.

Can't make the 11th?

You can still be part of it. Reply anyway, send an agenda item, or tell us which idea interests you. Everyone who replies hears what happened, who is involved where, and what comes next in January.

Pass it on

Download the flyer

If the download doesn't work, tick the box on the form and we'll email you one.

Where would you get involved?

You don't have to fill this in until after the session, and it stays open. If an idea already speaks to you, go ahead now.

Thank you. Your ideas are with us, and they'll help shape the Round Table in January.
